Join us and winemaker, David Phinney, on an incredible journey with one

of the most nationally recognized family of wines of our era.

Orin Swift Cellars was started by winemaker David Phinney in 1998 when he created The Prisoner. David has a long history of winemaking at high-end wineries in the Napa Valley including Robeth Mondavi Winery and Whitehall Lane. He paid tribute to his parents with the name of this winery – Orin is his father’s middle name and Swift is his mother’s maiden name. He started this winery when he was working for other wineries and as a result started small and worked part time. When you combine excellent wines with creative labeling you are bound to grow fast and now his full time job is with Orin Swift.

We will start the evening with a welcoming drink,

a six weeks barrel-aged Burning Chair Bourbon Old Fashioned!

The Burning Chair Bourbon is the first release of Dave Phinney’s highly anticipated four year-old Bourbon.  Dave sources each barrel, hand-selected for it’s unique attributes. The youngest Bourbon in the blend is four years old. Tiny lots are procured from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.  Each barrel brings something special to the final blend, and barrel aged for a minimum of four years in new charred American oak barrels, and then uniquely finished in wine barrels from Dave’s Napa Valley Cabernet projects.  The mature bourbon is titrated to 88 proof with pure, pristine water from Dave’s high elevation property in Alexander Valley in Northern California​
